About	A type of hover fly very fond of pollen. It is resting on a clover leaf after a bout with a blow fly which was after the same bounty. He went back and won the battle - will post an image sometime. Used a 1+ close-up lense with my 105mm micro Nikor, sunlight plus fill in flash and a bit of cropping.

Astounding clarity in this macro. The level of detail makes it so interesting to look at. I like how the bright reds & blues of the fly stand out so well against the out of focus green backdrop.
