Naomi, also those dots also are there whenever I don;t want to run the "despeckle" filter. IT is the equivalent of "noise" but if I run it, the image sometimes looks too "smooth" or even smudge. check that too.

I think I get the pixelation from scanning slides. I'll have to double check. We are due to get a new scanner; wonder if that will help. Thanks for your reply back. -- Naomi

I think it has to do with the scan, I think in particular whenever I used negative film instead of slide film, but maybe too when I adjust the contrast. When I look at my prints, they don't show those pixels. THanks for your observation Naomi.- R

Very interesting landscape, Rafael. Question for you: I notice little ghost lines and dots where the land meets the sky. I've noticed similar apparitions in some of my photos. Do you know if this is something to do with the scan, with the internet, or . . . ? -- Naomi
