Nice series of images Sharon. Even with the dead black doorway i like them!

I know little to nothing about technical lighting, but I wonder if this would have been a good place to set up some lights inside the barn to accomplish what you were looking for?

Would be nice to hear from some studio lighting folks on this one, as its a type of shot that I have always wanted to shoot.
