About Subject background: More Holga fun, this time racing style.

PS concept: some layer work to enhance the original wild look. DOF was done with the lens.

Honest feedback highly appreciated

This one goes out for Andre Denis, great photographer

His racing pictures from the past inspired me to do this image.

Hi Thilo,

When I first saw this photo, I thought to myself, something seems a little familiar about the style.
Then, I was pleasantly surprised to read the dedication :) Thank you so much for the kind words. You have just encouraged me to dig deeper into the archives!

Oh! Your picture! As I think someone else here mentioned, it seems the Holga style is very effective at capturing a fantasy, whimsical look in the image. It works very well here with this close-up of a budding Schumacher.

Thanks again for the dedication,
Andre

For some funny reason it didn?t look like a real racing track !
It looks like those Lego land car race tracks! Maybe it?s the holga!!!!
Theres this charming fun quality about the image any other regular camera and lens wont do
A wonderful dedication to Andre :)

That is one cool Holga image - I think that it is really interesting that when someone shoots with a Holga their shooting style and choice of subject changes to a more wimsical style as shown here - I like the angle of view as well as the composition - well done - K

Hi Thilo, I can only believe you when you say the Holga makes you look differently at ordinary scenes. Maybe I should try to get my hands on one, as I do think I agree. I had that same sensation when I bought my Medium Format... I love this one, as it shows a good combination of a recognisable scene, full of activity and tension, drenched in the holga look and feel. Fits like a glove. Don't learn too fast....

Cheers,

Hugo
