About I WAS SEARCHING FOR A SHOT TO TIE INTO THE DULL AND DREARY WINTER SUNDAY AFTERNOON INTENSIFIED BY THE FRIGID ARTIC BLAST ENGULFING MISSISSIPPI AT THE TIME...THE ARTIC BLAST WAS 15-20 MPH AND TEMPS. WERE IN THE SINGLE DIGITS;UNUSUAL WEATHER FOR THE SOUTH...IT HAD BEEN RAINING THE DAY BEFORE AND SPITTING SNOW ALL DAY LONG...THE GROUND WAS FROZEN HARD AND SOLID...THEN I CAME ACROSS THIS LARGE FURROWED FROZEN COTTON FIELD...THE VAST EXPANSE AND THE DANCING CLOUDS OF CHANGING WEATHER DREW ME IN...I SET UP MY TRIPOD AND FIRED THREE SHOTS OFF JUST AS THE WINTER SUN PEEKED BRIEFLY THROUGH....THE FEELING WAS OF UTTER DESOLATION AND UNCERTAIN SOLITUDE IN AN EVER-CHANGING LAND...A LAND I CALL HOME.

Greg, great image, it reminds me of my days of shooting Amish Landscapes in Ohio, I still do, just not as often, my heart is in the coastlines!

This is a very interesting shot and I like your story that goes along with it. Wonderful shot of the sky and the reflection of the water/snow in the field.
