I think you're right about that, the other one had some brown spots on the hands, i din't really like that. But this one, Perfect!! The strong hands, the B&W choice is excellent here, amazing those worker hands. I like the frame to, fits the picture really well! I'm trying to, but my frames never work this wel! Compliments on the excellent work!!

Thank you both for commenting.As for how I did it,Abel,well it was an outside grab shot in overcast conditions so the light was soft and uniform.Once in photoshop I used channel mixer to change it into black and white and played around to get contrast.I think I then sharpened the image and used Curves to boost the contrast even more.I'm not absolutely sure about what I did next but I probably added a little noise,diffused it a little and then did a little toning in Hue/Saturation.Hope that helps- good luck with your gran's hands.
