This is the schoolhouse located in the community of Riverside (Riverside-Albert), New Brunswick Canada. It is the oldest consolidated educational facility still in service in Canada. It was opened during the reign of Queen Victoria and will celebrate its' 100th year of service this summer. During non-school hours it serves as a community "Access Centre" where computers are available for local citizens as well as travellers wanting to check or send emails. The tube you see on the left is joined by another at the rear and used to evacuate the children and teachers in case of fire. Just another of the little jems that exhist in The Picture Province.
