My grandparents on my Dad's side came from northern Germany. I still have relatives there but do not know them. Thanks. Don.

Hi Don, somewhere along the Rhine, about 1/2 mile inland...Diersheim Germany, some distant "cousins" live...
My sister recently visited them.
They know where the "american cousins" stepped onto the boat to leave...a couple of hundred years ago.
They are Lutheren, and the church is still the central meeting place. One cousin even had a car!
Thanks for sharing your photos.

Great shot Don. The angle you shot at makes the church look a little bigger than it is I am guessing.
My vacation was great by the way, thanks! dan

Very nice capture Don,
At first glance I thought the clouds were smoke coming from the steeple. That would be rather funny!! (from the thumbnail of course..)
Such a nice scene. The buildings are so different from what I am accustomed to.
Good job, Lori ;)

A beautiful peaceful scene, Don. You certainly had a nice cruise down the Rhine and took advantage of the oportunites for pictures. Well done! Larry
