Hello Rafi, thank you for your kind comments! Also thanks for the reminder about my bio, have been meaning to write one but keep forgetting, have done it now!The reason theres been so many band shots lately is because i've been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to be part of the media team involved with School Stage Challenge & High School Rockquest,an annual nationwide contest for up & coming muso's.This weekend i'm covering the opening of a new Marine Education Center in Wellington so no doubt i'll have some fishy shots to put up next week!Been so busy sorting out pics from these events that i haven't had much time to take any pics for pleasure. My first grandchild is due in 5 weeks so i'll definitely be finding time then!Had a look through your portfolio, you have some awesome pics, very inspiring for an amateur like myself!Best wishes,Jac :)

I guess everyone's entitled to their own opinion but I can't say I like this photo as much as the other drummer ones!
The colours from the light rig are too intense and the focus seems to be on the rack-tom, drum-mic and cymbal rather than the drummer. Perhaps the lack of focus is due to motion blur, but at 1/125th I would have expected a sharper photo.
The motion blur on the sticks is the highlight for me.
And yes, Photography in pubs is near impossible!

This is our first, but hopefully not last meeting on the pages of "Usefilm", Ms. Lindsay. I write Ms. although Jacquie can be undestood both ways, although you wrote no bio and there is no photo of your face on your page, basing my assumption on your photo "Every girl needs a knight in shining armor." I opened many of your photos and they told me that you lived in Wellington, New Zealand. I liked many of your photos, among them the one about the dog, which showed your sense of humor. Your earlier photos are about different subjects, all well composed and pleasant to look at. Recently you seem to have turned more to stage photos. I finally opted to comment on this photo, not just because it was the last photo you posted and hence the first one I saw, but also because I liked very much the way you conveyed the concentration on the drummer's face. I also liked the rich colors of this photo. You are, of course, invited to read my bio and pay further visits to my portfolio. In the meantime I thank you for your kind comment on my "Mauve castel." Best regards, Dr. Rafael (Rafi for future communications) Springmann

Thanks Pan,I've been trying to get a decent shot of Stan for ages, most pubs tend to have terrible lighting, this one is the best so far! :)
