How about "Primordial Beastie!"? As good a name as any, I suppose.
Nice capture. Fantastic detail in the wings. I'm a bit distracted by the brightness of the stem but thems the breaks when shooting something as... eh hem... "flighty" as this.
Bad pun, I know...

This is the very rare 'Orange Crush' Dragonfly!!!! Ok, I lying!!!LOL! Just some kind of Dragonfly, but perfectly captured Jim!!! Great clarity!!!You nailed this Jim!!! Love the angle of the wings! Super shot Jim!!! My best....................John 7 !

You have a very steady hand Jim. You should see my camera shake, I could mix a malt while taking pictures. I like this dragonfly. You can see good detail in his wings. Don.

Marcus No extension tubes. saw him fly to the edge of the trail and land on the leaf. just pulled up and shot. tripod and f16 would have been better, but .....
