Dave,

This is a cool shot. I like the sunburst, it really adds to the shot. Also the fact that it is in B&W puts it over the top.

A very different kind of shot from you, Dave, but a very enjoyable one! The use of B&W was bold and worked very well, IMO.
Best regards, Chris

Very nice treatment. Much better than a standard blue-sky shot. It's fascinating to see the little droplets form those patterns on the black background.

Of all the photogrphic things that might be done with a fountain, this is certainly one of the most creative. I like it a lot!

Hi Ade, thanks for the comments! There is some cricket played here, but it's not broadcast at all. In fact there was a cricket match on yesterday at our largest city park where they play quite regularly.
Dave.

A data base crash! that's most frustrating. I hope you had sufficient backups. I see a candidate for another BIP. here, Dave and it's in my favorites.
Thank you for your very kind comments on my "memories from Paris 31 and 32."

what a superb effect Dave - really is a stunning effect with the light peering through the water. Leaving the rest black really works.

reminds me of a champagne bottle going off. Something I hope we do when we beat Australia at Cricket :-)

do you watch cricket over there in Canada?

Hi Larry, thanks for the comment! Yes it was taken in colour, and converted to b/w in post process. The only filter was the uv that I almost always have on the lens. The flare is the small aperture and shutter speed combination, I believe.
Dave.

Cool shot, was this color that you digitally changed to B/W? Unusual flare on the sun was that a filter?
