About
Forty six minutes last night.
Forty seven, the night before...
It's my favorite time of day...
the only game I play.

I follow the light on the wall. If I concentrate very, very hard....I can find the exact spot on the wall, where the light ends...and the darkness begins. It's not as easy as it sounds, I have a steady eye....

For forty six minutes, the light creeps slowly across the wall.... until there's not one . . drop . . left.

Now, finally...I can listen to the voices.

I can feel the emotion in this shot from your description. I like the colors, muted green, white and black. Very creative.

Dina Marie, thank YOU..for taking the time to share your thoughts. I agree....the light dances in and out of our lives, causing pain, delight, excitement, fear, and HOPE. Thank god, for the light.

I am back to this one. somewhat symbolic of our lives really...watching the light move in & out. I suppose it's subjective.... Thank you for catching this one.

Very nice, Bradley. Maybe the leaves and the cracked paint balance each other somehow? Thanks for the about!

Karen, As always...you are thoughtful and kind! You have a unique ability to "add" to an image, with your eloquent imagination...

All we can see is the bright cheery colors, but its what is hiding in the dark that interests us the most. Being on the edge between light and dark-which way should I go? My mind wants to lead me into the dark to investigate, but my heart is telling me to stay with what I know-the beautiful glow of natural light. Light and dark, dark and light utter chaos. I can feel myself growing more and more "mad" each time I look. Creepy~

Amazing this passage from light to dark. There's a lot of tension here. The turning point is the most interesting part of the photo as it reflects the anxiety before the chilly darkness comes in.
Moody and very beautiful
Excellent work again, Brad!!!
I like so much also your "About"
Well done!
Best regards - Emgy

Thanks for the about, helps me understand the concept behind the shot. Very imaginative and sensitive work. Maybe I would have fiddled around with the colors a bit, ?cause I think this photo needs a somewhat muted color palette, perhaps a desaturated or composite. Just an idea -
anyway a great photo !

Regards

Carsten

Beautiful lighting and a beautiful composition Brad, Wow you nailed this, the words and the image are perfect. You could write a book with your ability to go there, and to express your thoughts. The dark space represents the darkness within. Nice documentary type work, very impressive...Linda

Jeanette, I am so happy that this opened a door to your past! I appreciate your kind comments... and the mood is nothing more than me, trying to express the weighty and dark moods that permeated this sad place. It was very humbling... ..Brad

Well Brad, this goes directly to my favorites. An amazing mood - i just LOVE it. In my grandparents home there was a old house in which the windows had this kind of patina and through which the light camed in like this and almost same colour. So you cicked me back in time Brad, quick and i?m there now, surfing around in my emory?s from that time. Many words.... I have noticed a special mood in your last posts and wonder....
Great my friend!

Great solid composition Bradley. The use of black space to the left helps set the atmosphere to this photo. Well captured.

Well Gayle....my being able to look deep inside at "the fringe" comes with just a little effort. It's an intriguing and fulfilling excersize. The more time that I spend, holding my breath, evading notice....the more I understand the tension and stress that permeates these walls. You are a very intuitive and creative individual, and you would undoubtedly be charmed with the stark chill that accompanies you, here.

kind of interesting that we both posted window shots with poetic words, tho' vasting different shots.....i like the use of negative space to put the focus on the texture and light...the contrast level works well here...your words seem to come from a familiar place within...;> you never cease to surprise,Brad.....regards,gayle
