Your water drop pictures are wonderful. They are so eye appealing and beautifully captured and presented. Superb shot.
BTW, I saw your comment on Shane's praying mantis about there not being many of them on UF. Pierre also has a great one at http://www.usefilm.com/image/949127.html.

I used an eye dropper to get the drops on there. It took me a few tries to get it right. :)

There isn't too much different between a DVD and a CD. The DVD's have a bit more blue in them.
You're right about the window reflection. I had a tough time with lighting and reflection on this one. I'll be working some more on these.

On a DVD - now there's an idea! Does it have a different effect from a CD?! (It should do - it costs more...)
I assume here you've place the drops very precisely, and the effect is wonderful. But as a fellow CD/DVD addict I'm going to question the bright spots in the bottom of each drop. It looks as though you may have the reflection of a window here?
But I love the jet black and the hint of blue. I think it might be time to crack open a new pack of CDs...
