Thanks Gabriela! That's more of a distant association - I was thinking more of a POP artist, but I can see what you mean. I mostly associate Norman Rockwell with images of Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners, I guess it all depends which of his work you're most accustomed to. Thanks Mark, I don't know the Donna Reed Show, but I'm going to look it up. It does have a light mood, which for me is harder to do than a dark mood. I think it's the woman and the blue color plus I associate the 50's with my parents being young. I'm sure not everyone was happy then, but it seemed a more naive and relaxed era.

Thanks Nigel, Kingston, ON is a very nice area with lots of scenery. I've been there 2 or 3 times - it's between Toronto and Ottawa.

I love this one! Something about the woman's expression and the repair shop behind her. It's a very 50's "Donna Reed Show" type of shot, if you know that reference. It's a very light and fun mood, helped enormously by the angle you have inerted her at. Great stuff!

Ina, It's so sweet. I'm very top honored by your special dedication to this beautiful picture but I'm not really the one to deserve it.
I'm sorry for not being the first one to respond and glorify a beauty of your new clever composition but just another oil change captured the whole my attention for the day.
The lady seems to be very enthusiastic and optimistic about her lovely blue one being fixed and hopefuly still drivable. Should I be concerned? Are those mechanics proficient?
Anyway I like the smile and a clever hint.

Looks like Mrs 50's just smashed up the family car and is now off on a shopping spree to make herself feel better. I'm sure hubby won't mind. :) Quite creative as usual Ina. Very artistic indeed. Great work Ina.
