Hi Zyle. I am very flattered that you like my work. With regards to filters I permanently have a UV filter on my camera and sometimes use a Polarizer filter. Apart from an IR filter for IR work I don't use any other filters. I do edit some of the colours but only work with the colours that are already there.
If you look in the comments of this image you will see two images from the camera at this shoot, just to give you an idea of what the images were like from the camera.

My Dear Friend Judi!
First off, I have to Tell Manu that, Sunsets Like this are Totally Possible. Its a matter of Physics. Dust or pollution in the atmosphere create the brilliant Oranges we See....They are predominantly found in the dustier and hotter climates....I know this first hand because I Live in Phoenix Arizona...The Home of the Dust and pollution....lol
Anyhow, Enough about that.
Your shot is out of this world.
I Love the Cloudscape and the magnificent tonal range of all the colors...Well Seen and displayed.

This should show you how orange our sunsets really are.

Manu...I really respect your opinion and do understand where yo are coming from. But I have to tell you that I didn't have any filters onboard as I rushed out of the house in a hurry for these images tonight. I didn't even have a polarizer on.
I am going to attached two images. The first one being this image before I worked on it. You can see that I have lightened it and only slightly enhanced the colours to bring them back to what they were.

yes yours is nice, but the power of a panoramic would over shadow your take on this shot. the viewers eyes would wander around the shot aimlessly where the pano would retrict them to the powerfull colours and images with it. lets ask the viewers their option.

OK....so here goes...Not a big fan of orange filters and too much over-cooking of pictures. For me the over colourfulness, if that is such a word, spoils from what was naturally a truly wonderful moment.
You're probably gonna tell me now that no PS or filters were harmed in the making of this picture...but never mind. Although I do quite like the crop that has been suggested..

Yes...I like the crop but as you know I love the clouds. It may be stronger but this is how I see life and that is how I portray it through my works.
So please don't take this the wrong way...but I like mine better....hehehehehehe!! Thanks anyway Jason for showing me another angle....I will keep it in mind for other shots.
