  Q. Level

Asked by Debbie Groff    (K=9569) on 8/8/2001
I took a picture one time and leveled the camera to the sidewalk, got pics back and the house in the background looked tilted upward toward sky in bad way. What happened?

Sorry unable to visualize the image...is the sidewalk still levelled but background not? or is everything unlevelled? If everything is unlevelled...is it so on the negative too or just the print?

If you tilt the back of the camera pointing the lens up you get buildings that lean back, did you make sure that the camera back was not tilted up ?

Hey Debbie,

I read your answers. When you respond to an already existing thread..you could use the 'reply to question' option at the bottom of the thread. If you use 'ask a question' option it opens a whole new thread and there is a loss of continuity..

As for your level problem, The chances are house in the background is levelled...but the street ahead of it (with the side walk and ppl) is not...

Want to fix it ?
if you print the neg using a tilted easel it just may
fix it. you lose a little at the edges but still have a salvageable image.
or just retake it on its level.
