  Q. Sigma Super 500, First Time Using This Forum

Asked by Zachary     (K=32) on 2/25/2002
I need more info on the Sigma Super 500 for EOS systems. I have an Elan II and a 420ex presently.
1.I can use the Super 500 as a master unit on camera, right?
2.I want to put it(the Super 500) on camera and have my 420ex and another Sigma 500 Super off camera for
angle lighting, will that work?
3.I'm sure you know that 45* lighting can look pretty flat if both units are shooting equal amount of light. I like to shoot 2 stops over one one side, and 2 stops under on the other. Is there anyway I can use my planned setup and manually control this? Or will the 420 ex overpower it? I guess I am also asking if there is E-TTL through the wireless setup.
4.How far away will I be able to keep the slave off camera. I am planning on shooting a convention with speakers and I want to keep away from the podium ,use a telephoto and keep my 420 ex next to the podium for light. How far away can I stand with the camera?

Anyone have any experience with this please help.
