  Q. A Silly Question?
Melanie Reynolds
Asked by Melanie Reynolds    (K=9096) on 8/17/2005
I posted this photo recently... and I truly am not looking for attention here... it's just that I, personally, really liked it, but it did not revcieve the attention I thought it would.

I do realize it is a bit soft and I realized after looking at it for a while that it has a tad bit of a green tone to it, which could have been fixed.... what else is it about this photo?

I know I can't please everyone, but I just feel that maybe there is something about it I just don't see. Maybe I am too close... know what I mean?

I am open to suggestions and critiques (so long as they are not MEAN) )

Thanks in advance for your help and advice!

Hi Mel, I would say 73 views, 7 comments, and 1 favorite is not too bad really. Maybe you thought you would get more comments?

Chris

I guess it's not so much about comments, it's just that when I saw the outcome I was very pleased but when I initially uploaded it didn't get much of a response. It has gradually gotten some more views and comments, it just didn't go over as well as I thought it might, which is fine. I just want to know if there is anything I can improve on the photo, suggestions, things I am not seeing.

Also... I just noticed after looking at the views that it went up considerabley after I posted this last night. LOL It only had about 40-something views then. Still more people looked... but no suggestions.... does that mean no one has any suggestions? Am I reading too much into it?? LOL

Perhaps it was to do with the time of day you posted it - perhaps there were very few people looged in.

That did not even occur to me.... maybe it was silly question after all!

I've noticed that too Mel, kind of depends on the time of day sometimes on how much it's viewed and responded to.

I think it's a beautiful pic! :)

Melanie, the thing that bothers me the most with this picture is the distortion of being too close with a wide angle lens. The face is distorted to the point that it is not pretty. This is what I see wrong.
