  Q. help with Stepping rings and adapters

Asked by Tanya Dakin    (K=45) on 3/14/2002
Hi, not sure if there is an adapter available for this lens but I have a Honeywell Pentax H1 and the screwmount lens on it is Auto-Takumar1: 2.2/55mm lens Asahi opt co. what mm thread size adapter would fit this lens, I tried a 52mm & 55mm seems too big, I'm trying to fit a Phoenix super fish eye lens to it.

Hello Tanya.

Not too sure about your model numbers as they are not used here in the UK. The good news is the following URL... http://www.srbfilm.co.uk/

They are well known in the UK for fitting anything to anything and I am sure that they can help. Their whole business is stepping rings and adaptors from the mundane to the ridiculous. AFAIK they have been in business for as long as anyone can remember.

Two things: Contact them and get the prices and the information you need. If they are very expensive, pass me the details and I will see what a local resident can get them for. :)

Cheers!

Jeff

Thanks Jeff,
I just found the correct fitting stepping ring here in the USA, it needed a 46mm stepping ring to a 52mm and then the 52mm to whatever the adapter ring to the fisheye was, my problem was the screwmount lense didn't have the thread mm written on the lens, and it only cost my $10 USD, it ws worth all my happiness.

Tanya
