Q. Jean Coquin The Inventor

Inventors are born curious, and Jean Coquin was no exception .Almost before he could walk, he learned how to tinker with the shoe makers tools in his father’s work-shop. While other children played at games, Jean played at inventions.
At a very early age, Jean knew instinctively that his life would revolve around art.
Before long, he was dabbling in such crafts as batik-making, painting or silk, and retouching.
In 1955, he began his love affair with photography, free-lancing for 18 years with such prestigious French magazines as Elle, Marie-Claire, Jours de France and Vogue.
This man has invented the popular Filters system Cokin .to meet the requirement of both armature and professional photographers the entire world.

The compendium hood, square filter holders and all that stuff already existed. He developed a cheap system and marketed it.
