Questions about Kodak slide processing - Philosophy Of Photography Forum

Recently I took the opportunity to call Kodak on their toll free number. My questions were straight to the point and in order. My first question was: "Where is Kodachrome slide film being processed and mounted sice kODAK RECENTLY CLOSED DOWN IT'S LAST LAB IN FAIRLAWN, N.J.?." answer from Kodak was there is only one lab in USA that will process Kodachrome. That lab is Dwaynes Photo in Kansas. ( I use to do some business with Dwaynes a few years ago) Dwaynes processes all of our beloved FRIEND WALMART'S slide film ALSO. I was amazed , but not shocked.
My next question was " WILL KODAK CONTINUE TO MANUFACTURE CONSUMER KODACHROME SLIDE FILM?"
aNSWER FROM Kodak: A run around by repeating " Kodachrome Professional film will be around for some time to come. I asked again about Kodachrome "consumer" type. Got same answer./
He finally admitted that there were some changes coming in slide film , but no further comment.
So remember when you submit Kodachrome film it goes To DWAYNES PHOTO LAB in Kansas. You know the guys that do all of Walmart's speciality work.
