Hello Raymond. The Bronica does not have a focal plane shutter so this is not quite the issue it appears. All of the lenses have a leaf shutter in them. They will synchronise at any speed with the flash. (X synch) the small synch terminal at the top left of the body where the lens attaches.

The ETRSi can also read the flash intensity and quench the light output with a suitable flashgun or source and an SCA type of adapter from Metz.

The 'B' setting is to allow you to trip the shutter and so long as the button is depressed (usually managed with a locking cable release) then the shutter will stay open.

Start simply with your light source connected to the camera via the X-synch terminal. Set the film speed and the working distance on the flashgun, close the aperture down to the reading you have on the flashgun for the distance you want to shoot and set any speed you like on the shutter. A good place to start is 1/125. Take the picture.

Better help is available with a flashmeter that can take corded and uncorded readings. Put the cord from thelight source on the flashmeter X-synch terminal and hold the flashmeter at varying points on the subject with the sensor pointing towards the camera. Press the switch and trip the flash and read the value. Transfer the value to the camera.

HTH

Cheers!
Jeff
