You might try fuji astia 100f, it shows good color, but not overly saturated, less than provia. With a light warming filter (81a or 81b maybe) it might give something like what you're looking for.

At least when first released, Provia 400f had a different character than 100f (which I dislike) and a similar "edge" quality to KR. It doesn't have quite that warm glow, but nothing else does... 400f + light warming filter might suit you.

Alexander, try just about any slide film and use the Tiffen Enhancing Filter, you will be amazed at how your reds, yellows and oranges pop out of the image without degrading the other colors. I wouldn't use it with any of the saturated films unless you are looking for a Disneychrome look, it works just fine with plain old cheap Ektachrome 100.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
Phil, re: enhancing filter, is it essentially a warming polarizer? If it is, I probably wouldn't be able to use it since most of my work is photographing reflections. A polarizer will definitely affect and sometimes even eliminate them, in a sense, eliminating my subject matter.

There is Ektachrome, which comes in 120 roll film sizes... ranges from fine grain (E100G) through to vivid saturation (E100VS).

Alexander, the enhancing filter is not really a warming filter. It does not apply a general color cast to the image. It is a filter made of a special Didymium glass element, it actually looks light blue in color. It acts only on the red-orange-yellow spectrum and really makes it pop while leaving the other colors basically untouched.

Do not use this filter with people though as it will really make skin tones a too warm unless you want to give everyone a radical suntan.
