  Q. low contrast negatives

Asked by David Hofmann    (K=22223) on 1/5/2005
A question to you who have more experience with B&W developing:

What factors cause a negative to have less or more contrast when developed? I just started developing myself and my negatives seem a little low contrast.

Will higher temperature and shorter time increase contrast? I guess push process it to 800 ASA will increase contrast?

I'm using Kodak Tri-X 320 with D76 developer.

thanks

David
