  Q. Which printer is best?

Asked by aaron robb    (K=0) on 2/16/2005
Hey all
i was wondering, in anyone's experience, which photo printer is the best? Ones i've tried before don't give the best detail and fade really fast, and can scratch really easily. Is there one out there that is new and better?
thanks!

All reports seem to indicate that the Epson 4000 is the state of the art, but it really depends on the size and type of photos you plan to print. There is a lot of good equipment available. For instance I only print B+W, and use an Epson 1280 converted to Lyson Quad Black inks. Excellent results and MUCH cheaper than the 4000.
