  Q. Macro lens

Asked by Ben Rasmussen    (K=2130) on 5/7/2003
What is a good macro lens to buy on a tight budget? Like around $200-400

For what camera?
I purchased me a Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX Macro recently and I like it a lot.
Falls inside your budget too.

I also have the Sigma 105 f/2.8 Macro and like it lots. Don't use it as much as I should though, due to weight of lens. Also, had a problem recently where my macro lens wouldn't talk to my friend's Rebel TI camera. Apparently, Sigma lenses need chip updates for new model cameras, something the company will do free of charge if you cover the cost of shipping. Something you might keep in mind if you're looking at the used lens market. Good luck.
