  Photography Forum: Donor Only Forum:
  Q. First filters to buy?

Asked by Anne Bogardus    (K=2875) on 5/14/2004
Hello all,

I have a somewhat basic question. While I've enjoyed photography for many years, I've relied on my camera "as-is" for the most part and have never used filters. I'm planning to buy my first ones soon and am wondering what people would start with. From comments I've seen in some other UF discussions/critiques, it seems like a polarizing filter might be one that should be on the list. What do you recommend? My favorite subjects are landscapes, beachscapes, and out-of-the-way or unusual nature shots. Thanks!

Anne
