Q. Digital Print problem

Recently, about a month ago, I printed a photo for a friend of mine. I use an Epson 925 printer and use Epson's color ink. I use an after market black ink cartridge that I have never had any problems with before. I used Epson Priemium Glossy Paper and now when he showed me the print (one month later) the areas of the photo where the black ink would be (shadows) have started to change color (kind of redish). Does anyone know what caused this?? I have never seen this happen to any other prints that I've made. Please help.
