Great colors and contrast. But here is something which disturbs me. I don't know, maybe composition, maybe exposition. Anyway I like it but probably you could make this picture better.

regards and good luck with photos

I find this very beautiful, and I like the uneven light. A fine work of art for a very simple subject, dear JD.:)

thanks Onie for this great comment; my poor english does not allow me to say it better, so I appreciate a lot that you had written what this picture means to me; thanks again....my friend

I've sat and stared at this for a while Txules... then read others comments, then up to your photo again... I write of what my eyes see...

Raw materials, the very basics of life...
The human element is very much here... hanging along side the cobs... Survival... food, next years crop, market maybe... It has the patina of burnished gold, but more precious...

I like that you haven't darkened the space around, *dressed* the shot... Would make this a *glossy food mag* pic, and it is not that... You have the honor of being in anothers palace, their home...

The tones and texture, earthy light, the depth... Everthing from the straps that hold the pole... the door/window behind...

Excellent Sir...:)

Onie...

It's the lighting in this capture that draws me into the image. Cobs I don't find particularly intersting but your interpitation, I do :)

yeah, sometimes you just have to work with what you've got and there's no shame in that.

I would have preferred an even distribution of the light. The first 1/3 of the corn is dark while the rest is lit up. Other than that, it's a cool photo.

beautiful lighting. I love how the black surroundings seem to come back in the black cornbits in the cobs. the framing goes very well with this photo. As you're asking for critigue I will give you one. It's a nitpick but I think the photo would be better if the bottom background would be darker. It takes the focus from the subjects. But as said, its not that big a thing.
Kind regards,
Martijn
