Very nice landscape, one of the most shocking things about flying over Canada is to see how desolate it really is.

Well taken!!!

Cheers!

Thanks Michele. I was almost asleep on the flight over, but managed to stay awake to catch this brief break in the fog. Cheers, Gary :)

Hi Collin. I bought the lens for the same reason you are contemptlating. I was tired of getting so much dust on my sensor, so I took the plunge. It was a toss up between the 28-300 or this one... I chose this one because of the wider angle. I haven't had it too long so I can't say too much about it. I do like the wider angle, but I think there might be just a bit of vignetting when zoomed out (in some cases). I do at times miss the 300mm (450mm for the size of the sensor). I would have liked to try the other lens out for a while before I bought. So, I guess I can't really advise you one way or the other, but I do like it a lot. Thanks for the comment. Cheers, Gary

Hi Elisa! Yes, I felt lucky too. And it was nice to see the ground instead of just flying in the fog. Cheers, Gary :)

Hi Gary, nice shot. Thats some view! Whats your opinion of your 18-200mm lens? I have been contemplating purchasing one to avoid changing lenses all the time.
Regards,
Collin.

Hi Nicole. Yes, I was happy to see some breaks in the clouds too... a little unnerving flying through thick clouds while not too high up! Thanks for the comment. Cheers, Gary
