Excellent focusing Ned! You have managed to present maximum details in couple of flowers and maintained a good DOF as well. Cheers my friend.

Yes Saeed .. you're right :)
this is the second shot of the same view. the first one was using the max. aperture opening the lens could offer at that focal length (f/5.6) but unfortunately, you cannot tell the difference between the two! a closeup lens could have reduced the dof but i didn't have one to fit the lens at the time!

Now i have two sets, each of 3 closeup lenses for two lenses .. but i don't have flowers to shoot :B

i wish i had a diffuser filter .. it adds a dreamy halo to flowers.

One of the secrets underlying good close up photography is avoiding unwanted elements.Learning just what to include and what to leave out of a photo is a useful skill to master. Her ,if you chose one flower as your main element and blur or use a simple background to draw attention to the subject.( your aperture should be lees than f5.6)for better result,Saeed

Beautiful, Ned! A mess of many flowers, but you picked out the best and composed them so tastefully! They look beautiful!
