Wonderful composition and again the toning is super Thilo. It is amazing that sometimes the most popular of things make for great photos !
Best wishes, Steve

Hi Ursula,

Hi Hugo,
you're right with the boldness here. to be honest, I underexposed this image a bit and the pentax grain is too heavy to get more details in here. so I went for the very bold solution.
I'm glad that I now have the D70 =)
take care, thilo

You caught me, Patrick ;-)
problem is that the Pentax is too grainy for these kind of special FX. and the pentax is one of the best low-grain compact cameras out there. one of the reasons I switch to the D70. =)
good eye on this, was a pain in the neck for me.
take care, Thilo

such a simple photo but it is dramatic with the clouds and the contrast.. very nice abstract.
Just shows that there is something to see everywhere.. great capture..

Very nice composition. I love the sky. Looks like the traffic lights are trying to tell the clouds to stop and go. For me its a metaphor about man's obsession with control vs nature's freedom . . .

Hi Thilo, Excellent sky, and i do like the cool blueis grey tone. Works well. The silhouettes of the traffic light would work very well, but I think in this case, the lack of contrast in them renders them a bit flat, which doesn't quite fit with the theme, I believe.... Other than that, a quite impressive skyscape.
Cheers,
Hugo

Excellent - and very original - work Thilo! When the sky does not offer enough light, we have to turn to artificial sources ;-) Great combination, compo and a very beautiful sky!
