About Photographed today, finally the rains have stopped. Photographed from Coronado. Just a part of San Diego skyline. Shortly before sunset, sun reflecting from glass buildings.
Believe it or not, image not enhanced, just border (and a tad of unsharp mask)
I usually just HAVE to do some fooling around with the image!
Lori :)

The composition, DOF and color balance is, as it allways is; at the maximum possible level. No words needed for this!
Friendly greets
Nedim.

Hi Lori, beautiful composition... You're right, the three light reflection on the seashore really is a very nice spot. But I also love Hugo's version for panoramic is dramatic... Gosh, which to choose???? Never mind, I can see both and both are beautiful... Cheers!

Hi Serge,

I like mine better becuse I don't really care for 'washed out' darks. To me, that's kind of what the darks look like in this one. I prefer the deeper tones, but I do know that's just a 'personal preference'

But, thank you so much for taking the time do to this, I ALWAYS enjoy seeing my images through others' eyes! That's kind of fun!!

Lori :)

Lori,
I have just spent 30-40 min looking and enjoying your usefilm portfolio. With all of your experience you should go into teaching photography! Beautiful work. I will comment on this your last posting and check back with you often to see what?s new.
This image with a beautiful sky and the skyline is beautiful. I like how the reflection of the sun is carried from the buildings, across the water and onto shore. Nice work.
Saludos,
Daniel

Hi Hugo,

Thanks for your nice comments and for taking the time to do your version.

I must admit, I played around with the cropping for the lingest time!! While I really like your version, I miss the three 'light spots' at the shoreline. Which is one of the reasons I was drawn to this composition. When leaving those in and trying to do a wider pana crops, then the clouds were affected. A losing battle.

Thanks again, and have a GR8 day!!!
Lori ;)

Dear Lori, very nice shot. Hope the rain didn't mess your place up. I'm situated that my house will be the last to float away so I actually like all this rain (but i feel bad for the people that have had problems - always seems to be the same places in the LA area.) TTYS, Mark PS Thanks for the nice comments

Hi Lori, Love the tones and drama in this shot. Also, the presentation with the pale yellow horizontal bars is very good, but I think it could have an even stronger effect if you'd crop the image into a panoramic format, too; stressing the size of the skyline. Besides, with the shore in the foreground, the composition becomes a tad more closed, and the wideness of the view is somewhat limited by the additional lines created in the foreground. Furthermore, the most intriguing subjects are in the top half of the image; being the sky and the clouds... Hope you see what I mean, but just to make sure, see attachment....

Other than that an awesome shot...:)

Cheers,

Hugo

Wonderful composition, the skyline and clouds are terrific. love the sheen and reflection of the water. The inclusion on the shoreline in the foreground balances the whole image perfectly.
I'm like you - if I get one that says - 'don't touch me I'm okay' it's so great
Margaret
