Thanks Deb, I don't have an ND Grad in the bag. I can see it would be a good investment for landscape shots.

It's a terrific composition, and I love the way the sky's reflected in the water.

If it were mine I'd definitely use the ND grad - you can see what you're getting beforehand, and the color and detail stay natural. Works with both film and digital as well, so it's a useful technique. ;)

This is an interesting shot for the shape of the bend and dramatic sky. Just spent a day shooting where the sky was blown out in all my shots, so I appreciate your dilemma.

I love it dark. Beautiful and a little moody. Great colors!

I love it dark too, gives it a great mood! But I agree with Judi, having a final good exposure will give you the chance to darken if you like without loosing details. Another way is to consider using ND Grad filter especially if the contrast between sky and land is extreme.

I like it dark, I was going to first off comment on the terrific lighting. I think it makes the pic actually. Nice strong leading lines great contrasts & tones. Dottie

I like it.

Lovely landscape. Try taking two shots on a tripod. One with the sky exposed and one with the ground exposed and then blend the two to make one perfectly exposed image.
