Wow that is so cool - love the glow on the necklace - that light is magical. Well done.

Hi Peter
I also meant to add that I dont tend to hand hold anything at a shutter speed slower than the focal length of the lens that I'm using.

Hi Peter
This shot was hand held. The 35mm lens is quite solid and I find it easy to hand hold. Though I'm not always this lucky.

Was this 1/30 shot handheld or tripod mounted? I ask, because I have read that some ppl shot at 1/30, while others, Ansel Adams included (see "The Negative") claim handheld at minimum 1/125.

Mark -- pass it along Lra0x@yahoo.com - I used to spend every Saturday shooting and every Sunday in the darkroom at the college near my home - I miis those days but like you - digital is the way to go - I like the near instant gratification of the digital darkroom and not to mention the cost or lack of -- K

Hi Kevin
Yeah I'm a sucker for edges as well. Dina Marie sent me the file of the frame I'm sure she wouldn't mind me passing it on If you want it.
I love the darkroom but I have to confess that the digital dayroom is winning me over as I find I'm spending less and less time in the dark and sniffing chemicals and more time spent looking at my monitor and getting square eyes.
But I still believe that Tri X printed onto a nice warmtone fibre paper is unsurpassable.
Let me know if you want that file. Thanks for the comments.

...very nice! - I'm sure they were VERY satisfied with this one - I am a sucker for edges although I have not had the guts to put out the cash for the FX edges yet - Mark this is again really nice - I love Tri-X and so miss all the old days in the darkroom!! K
