Ok, I see. It always strikes me how well I know what I should have done better of paid more attention to when I see the pictures, whereas these things never crossed my mind when I was taking them. The picture itself is still good though, and, I have been thinking abou this picture, probably, if you did let the right side fade into nothingness as well, the picture would have been much like so many other pictures... Maybe next time? All the best and keep on shooting!
Thanks Aernout ! I've been trying to figure out on making the right side of the image to fade into nothing or lighten but due to the heavy shadow, the attempts has not been satisfactory and unnatural. The original B&W of this photo has been cropped to just the face area as the background is a full mirror cabinet. It reflects everything else in the living room :)
I would have preferred the right to run on into nothing as well (perhaps lighten the shadows a bit), just like the left side. Great look, and I love the high key effect. I don't know what you still have of the original picture...?
