I didn't understand the title until I read your comments - now I get it! Even before I read the comments however I was drawn to the image. A striking close up of a beautiful looking guitar (and headphones). I like the high contrast in the photo, it really brings the red out and adds a lot of energy to the image. Well done!

Brilliant picture- good to see a guitar and really like the angle, clarity and colour. My husband plays guitar and admires this one- just trying to guess what make and I've spotted you say a Gibson- great to have.

uhuh... without the upper shoulder and those curiously fender-looking pickups i'd have sweared to look at an SG... i wasn't so far from the truth, at last... i'm in love with studio les pauls, anyway!

Thank you for your comment. Although from this angle it appears to be a strat, it is actually a Gibson Victory MV X. Gibson only made them for a few years in the early eighties, definately a fun guitar.

excellent composition, the cherry strat really stands out in the low light... i've got the same problem, and brilliantly solved it with a pod xt... :)

I bet the neighbors appreciate this. And it helps to mask their noises too. Your photo is wonderful with those bright colors and sharp shadows. Now, if only you could send us some accompanying music!

Thank you for your comment. The shutter speed was 1/4, the aperature setting was 36 and the ISO was 100. The focal point on the lense was 53mm. I hope that this info is useful to you. On the upload page these settings were not on the drop down menus.

Good composition. You have kept the highlights - often difficult not to blow out with digital. I like the depth of field you chose.
I'm always interested in the photographer's choice of lenses and settings. Any chance of updating your shutter and aperature info?
