it does feel like an entrance to The Twilight Zone. A place where the normal is not. Up may be up or down or sideways. I think it is the magnificent shadows you have created.

Be sure to contact me if you do come, Thilo, unless you already have good contacts here, of course. I could show you a few "sights."

Hi Roger,
I try to cover Europe at the moment - the big cities. My last 3 day trip to Berlin resulted in about 1.500 pictures =) Call me maniac.
No, I haven't been to Japan before. Hope to do that one day.
Best wishes, Thilo

Talk about an image that would fit perfectly in with the lines category. And even though there are lines all throughout the image, with roof, sidewalk, and shadows-its not at all cluttered. Actually when I view this image it gives me a sense of silence and calm. Well done, great in b&w-I'm sure in color there would not be the same feeling~

Very effective capture of this unusual environment. I like what you did with the shadow and silhouette effect. You certainly get around, don't you! I see photographs from many different locations... Do you ever get to Japan?

Great time for this of course. The one freestanding shadow of one of the people back there is a *very* nice touch.

na das ist mit dem verlauf der schatten ja mal wieder ein echter hingucker, fein wie du den vordergrund trotz der ja nun auch nicht gerade langweiligen dachkonstruktion so schön betonend in szene gesetzt hast.

Neat shot in B&W!!! Wonderful tones, super perspective, love the shadows, good composition... well done!!! Great view although it's not totally symmetrical... but you can fix that by cropping a bit off the right side (or not)... ;-D!!!

The extreme shadows in this are intimidating! Facinating the way this image is a cross between abstract and nature.

Thilo, I don't know how it is possible to make an image that is both simple and busy at the same time. But you have done it! There are so many sort of conflicting patterns, shadows and details in this shot that you would think it would be too hard on the eyes, but not so at all. I suppose the architects must take that sort of thing into consideration when they design these places. Nice job of interpreting it for us! Andre

Great backlit scenery, with clever PS work on contrast and tones. Has indeed a futuristic feeling - nice that no humans are visible, in this context.

COULD it be someone else - answer = NOOOOO! ;)
Yes i agree, there?s a science fiction look here, absolutley. Palmtree?s inside a building, the arcs, glass, shadows - all this together with your composition (best choosen perspective for the subject) make a great work Thilo!

Yes I can see why you say that Thilo.. The first thing that stands out to me is the light, excellent!! Then the clarity and tones..perfect, the shadow and silhouettes are strong and very good too, making very nice strong contrasts to the light! Great eye and another excellent image from you my friend!! My best to you!!
