Hi Darlene, The intentional DOF difference is nice in this case. It gives the viewer more of a sense of peace and quite. It gives the viewer a sense of being close to the birds. A voyaristic feel. Like you are hiding in the bushes and don't want to disturb them. Andre

Thanks so much Dave, Neat Image is a noise reduction program that I really don't know how to use correctly (I'm one of those that just play around til I get it to look like I want!) Maybe one day I'll read the instructions......Have a wonderful weekend! Darlene

I am not familiar with Neat Image. Did it create the blurred foreground? I can't say I would have noticed anything different here, it's another unusual bird image from a master. Cheers.

I think it's superb--misty and mystical. The foliage in the foreground is great. What a gathering! Best wishes, --George

The background looks a bit over-sharpened, but I love the out-of-focus foreground...lovely surreal feeling, and a beautiful image, Darlene.

It has a very dreamy quality, Darlene, both with the neat image effect, and shooting through the grass. I like it! Dave.

I love the effect of the foreground blur, it makes it so beautiful, like a painting and puts them off in the distance in a way...this one goes straight to my favorites!! Excellent painterly image!!

very beautiful effect to have this blury foreground. Gaves the scene a very different, interesting look. Neatimage is an interesting tool of you overdo the filtering. It creates a really interesting look.
