Incredible FOV, you know that I love this feeling of vastness and space ! Super wide lens with this technique creates almost supernatural views. It is often hard to anticipate the end result when shooting, but your composition is very good, with a nice lead-in and kind of echo in the sky and land.

Hi Barry - it was in fact Carsten who suggested the software (PTGui) and it works a treat. When shooting you just have to lock the exposure and the WB and try to keep the film plane as close to 90 degrees verticle as possible. I am having a few teething problems though, for one my PC crashes if I try to stich more than 6 images together. If I can get this problem solved then I'll try to take this technique up a gear.

Looks like fun. I assume you've seen Carsten Ranke's masterful examples of this approach? Done right it really is like moving up to MF and can give you a walk-in feel to images.

Wow time consuming image Shane, and I wouldn't have known if you hadn't have said. I like the V shaped composition and the pattern in the sky is pleasing and compliments the frame if that makes sense. I like the frame too. I have ordered a holga 120fn today, medium format here I come!
