About Anybody know what the white area around the stalk is caused by?When the subject is this low down a tripod impossible so I use my camera bag and bean bag.I also use the camera's timer instead of my cable release which no longer works.Does this really make any difference?

I love the color and mood but find the mushroom in the back distracting. I suspect these "rooms" were not very tall but a lower angle may have helped. I use my tripod with the "head" inverted to get ground level photos. I also have the luxury of having a tripod whoes legs can be opened so the the head is almost at ground level.
