Very dramatic color against that great dark background. To my taste, the cropping is just right, allowing the optimum amount of space around the subject not only for context, but for contrast. The colors of the animal are very striking, and you have gotten a superb rendering of textures, especially of the breast feathers.

Very nice Darlene...sharp and colourful.I would have cropped about half of the right side of picture in a bit and got the bird more in the centre.Just my opinion.Well done, kind regards Hilton
