I would argue for the foreground plants. Without them the image would still have great texture and tones, but the plants establish a depth to the image. Good decision, great end product.

Very moody Ivan. I like the tones of this misty atmosphere, and the great contrast between the plants and the background. However, I'm not sure about this foreground. In my opinion the plants don't help to the composition. Other than that, well done!
