The different coloured lightsources and the pattern of light and dark in the metal rim of the watch make this shot for me. I'm not so sure about the alignment of the watch with the horizontal and the vertical, only having the hands create a diagonal in this composition. I feel it makes the image more static than the lifestyle element of the Cartier calls for.
Going for the geometric approach, I think the spacing between the face of the watch on top should is a little small compared to the spacing on the bottom of the image.
I do like the dark tones, although I would've opted for a bit more brightness in the highlights of the image, I think it would give the photo a little more punch.
Hope I'm not being too critical. It's all a matter of subjective opinion, and I do like this shot. I'd love to see an abstract of the right side of the watch, with a larger angle, but with the same tones and material reflection. the abstract type of shot.
