Good high key effort. I think some eye contact would ahve been great, and removing or including more of the right arm would lessen the distraction.

Interesting high-key portrait. I find the white border somewhat distracting, though, where it emphasizes the flatness of the subject's head where the head extends above the top of the frame. The white border also distracts around the arm in the lower-right. Perhaps a black border would better emphasize your subject and the high-key nature of the exposure without distraction at the points where the subject extends beyond the frame. Nice concept. I also like your quotation of the Irish proverb. How true.
