About except for low shrubs and ground-hugging dwarf willows, the hills and meadows are bare. dearth of trees is one of the first things to notice about Iceland.
as the old joke goes, if you're lost in an Icelandic forest, just stand up !

My pleasure. Let me know if you get a chance to reshoot. (It'll be a long time before I get anywhere near Iceland, I should think.)

I like this shot pretty well, but like Adrian I wish you had better color saturation. If you use the tightest ap possible (largest number, smallest hole) that will offer better color saturation (and coincidentally give a longer DoF)--using a polorizing filter will also lengthen exposure time and thus give greater color saturation.

Personally sharpness is lacking a little and a greater depth of field would have been nice. Also the photo seems to tilt slight to the left (a fault I manage to do all the time) Maybe a larger appeture would have made the grass look greener - it looks slight washed out.

Hi Gali, Isn't Iceland fantastic?! I love those moss covered fields. So vast, so wide, so desolated, and so utterly remotelessly nature! Well captured!

Cheers,

Hugo
