thank you all for commenting on this one, i really appreciate it. And Derek, thanks for showing me the idea you had in mind and all. I find it hard to form a clear opinion on this photo.. i guess i still like it best, the way it was, but the drop on the left could be somewhat distracting. Though i think it's not that bad, because in my opinion, the colored drop should not attract all the attention. There must be room to 'wander about', with your eyes. Anyway, it's nice to see the comments all of you gave, and it helps me judging my own photos. And i'll be trying some things with the PS-lens blur soon, when i get a better computer here. cheers
I see you point. As you said you could use a blur in PS (one day you need to try the lens blur, is nice), but as me, I don't like to retouch my photos, if they're not good at the begining, just shot again! (I spend all day in PS due to my job, so when I'm doing photography I won't to stay away from there!) I was thinking of really slight crop anyway, as you say you want to see they are leaves! maybe just the far left fat drop.

I also cropped a it from right to balance the image.
I can almost see that rain drop slide off the left. That tells me your perspective and composition is really well done. ASlso the contrast really allowed for details to come out of it. Keep up the good work.
Wow! Excellent macro! I love this! The clarity is amazing, is that a blade of grass? It looks like it! Anyway, the selective coloring is great... nice idea, I love it :) ~Rachel~
Hi Derek, thanks a lot for the comment. I guess i have to agree with you on the top left corner-issue. That 'leaf' was rather close to the lens, much closer than the rest of that corner. Perhaps i could try to 'blur' it a bit with PS, but first of all, i'm not that good with PS, and second, i try not to mess with my photo too much. Apart from the obvious changes you can see on this one. I tried a little bit of cropping just now, but i'm afraid that, if i crop it a bit, the idea of the photo gets lost. By that i mean that, if you crop too much, it kind of makes it unclear what you're looking at (some sort of leaf, that is).
i guess.
Did i actually make a point here? :s
Anyway, i'll be experimenting some more with this one, cropping it, in particular.
interesting masking of the droplet, like it, but is so subtle that I wonder if it would look better with a closer crop... the top left is not out of focus enough and distracts me, especially because is separated by a completely blurry area good image though
