Dylan Titles#4. This pic I took in Palermo, Sicily. It was the last frame on my film. Those two kids lay absolutely motionless for ages. I drank coffee across the street and watched for a long time. Tourists seemed to be fooled enough to drop them some lire. They did'nt move even when a man came along and emptied the box. I left them some money just for performance and went on my way.. Can anyone out there translate what it says on the piece of cardboard for me? I'd like to know.
dire straits also comes to mind, good capture, did'nt like to use the word (shot), was in your beautifull country for a brief few days, loved it, even looked at house & land prices, have family roots in your patch, regards art,.
Thanks for taking the time to reply Petal. Appreciate it. Keep an eye on me will you? I am using your candles as my " background of the week." Geat Honour indeed for you!!!! Good Luck, Larry
Hi there Larry, thanks for all the praise, but you gave me way too much credit... and I don't get that much comments either.... ;-D! About this series/street shot. Yep they're there and I saw them as well (also been to Palermo; not the same mum and kids, but similar....). I'm not really the person to tell you something about a shot like this... I stick to landscapes, abstracts and flowers/macros. I Like the crop and the angle is good but maybe it would have more 'impact' if we weren't looking down on them so much, and you lost some clarity by scanning... might have a look at that. The sign says (I'm not able to get/read all but the general idea is): I'm a Romanian woman with five children, my husband died.... please help/give something.... one of my kids needs an operation.... What you believe of this, well she has two for sure, but the guy emptying the box probably was dad.....
