About
Sunset/Dusk, and I pulled over to get the last light of Big Bend. This image was a large construct, 20 photos. Unfortunately, three were blurred due to lousy photographer error, leading to a really bad pano in detail.
Reading your forums post about stitching and panoramas, I wanted to check yours out. Very cool. I'm going to have to go back and re-read everything and maybe give this a whirl.
Great desert shot and so much better than just trying to capture this in one frame.
Good eyes. This shot was not cleaned up as the poor detail and fuzzy shot make it completely unusable as a print. =(
I think that with time, this could have popped more as a print, there are a lot of details that full size and seven feet long would make it a stunner, but in the end there is no "gestalt", no pull through, and I think this will have to be a nice vacation shot but nothing more.
Notwithstanding the top notch quality of this shot or the beauty of the scenery, I have a feeling it lacks a specific point of interest. Apart from the skills required to create such photos, I think an observer also needs something to look at to take it out of the ordinary, if you see what I mean. There is a slight tell tale of stitching in the sky with multiple varying gradients.. No biggy though.
