It was snowing hard that afternoon and the walkway along the memorial very slippery. Still, there was a steady stream of people paying their respects, their reflections are seen in the wall of the Vietnam War Memorial.
I also liked to use the "Reflections" project for this image, for the other meaning of the word: Thinking about something. Clearly, people who visit this memorial reflect on the horrors of war and the very personal pain it causes. Especially important in these insecure times.
Nice shot under difficult conditions. You might want to look at the first photo I posted here - its an in-camera double exposure of the Wall and the Three Soldiers. I appreciate your comments on it.
There really is no way to show this is a memorial better than this. The memorial is a wall with names of missing soldiers. It's very sober, there is nothing more to it. I like the suggestion of black and white, I'll try that. It's an unusual memorial, for sure, but very sobering when you walk along the long wall of names of people who meant something to somebody and no one knows what became of them :(.

Good subject here ! Good composition too. But...:
1) I wonder wheter it wouldn't be nicer and more dramatic in B&W.
2) I wish I could really see at first glance that this is a memorial. It is fairly obvious but more obvious would be better. Maybe a bit of dodging on the foreground's wordings would help...? Still, nice shot. Regards.
